Meet: Alex Longmore

Based in West London, Alex first began creating ceramics 8 years ago under the guide of ceramicist Chris Bramble. Her days in the studio soon became her favourite day of the week.

From larger sculptural forms to tiny pots, each piece she creates is totally unique. They're hand-crafted from a single piece of stoneware or porcelain clay, moulded, individually sculpted & then hand-glazed, drawn or painted. 

Many of her pieces use a gold leaf lustre for a touch of luxury, alongside her bold and colourful glazes.

Bright and beautiful

“I love all the pieces I make, each one is unique and there is so much dedication and nurturing that goes into the process. I never know or pre-plan how the work is going to turn out. It’s magic, it just happens and I think really it’s got very little to do with me. It’s a synergy between the soul and the clay. I’m just along for the ride.”
